Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Utilizes AI Chatbots for Everyday Tasks
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 6, 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted his use of AI chatbots like Google's Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT for everyday tasks, illustrating their practical applications in his daily routine.
Huang, a significant figure in the AI industry, detailed at a Wired event how he leverages chatbots to draft his speeches. "I give it a basic outline, provide some PDFs of my previous talks, and it writes my first draft," he stated, describing the process as "really fantastic."
Other tech leaders also rely on AI for routine tasks. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman frequently uses chatbots to summarize documents, as he shared on Wharton organizational psychologist Adam Grant’s “ReThinking” podcast. Meanwhile, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella utilizes AI features in Outlook to manage and prioritize his inbox, as noted during the Fast Company Innovation Festival 2024.
The Growing Role of AI in Daily Operations
All three CEOs are actively promoting AI integration, reflecting a broader industry trend. Skilled prompt engineers can significantly enhance productivity by using AI for idea generation, information consolidation, and basic task automation. According to a Gallup study published last year, these are the most common chatbot applications across various job levels.
Experts generally recommend using AI as a research and brainstorming tool rather than relying on it for final drafts. Chatbot outputs can sometimes be inaccurate, containing what are known as “hallucinations.”
The Rapid Evolution of AI Technology
Huang emphasized the rapid advancement of AI technology at the CES trade show. Nvidia experienced a significant market impact when it lost nearly $600 billion in market cap following a statement by Chinese AI lab DeepSeek, which claimed to have developed a competitive large language model without high-end computer chips. Nvidia has since recovered slightly, with a market cap of $3.09 trillion as of Friday morning, making it the world’s third-largest publicly traded company after Apple and Microsoft.
Future Prospects of AI Integration
At CES, Huang predicted that humans should prepare to work alongside AI "agents," which would be capable of collecting data from multiple AI models simultaneously and answering complex questions. For example, an AI research agent could create a podcast incorporating lectures, journals, and financial earnings reports on a specific industry.
Such agents could enter the workforce as early as this year, according to OpenAI's Altman. However, the exact scope of their responsibilities, costs, and the industries that could quickly integrate this technology remain uncertain.
